When In Life...

When in life nothing seems right,
Trust me to be right there by your side.
When in life you are ever depressed,
I’ll give up anything to cheer you, and that goes unsaid.

When in life all you want to do is cry,
I’ll be ready to wipe the tears flowing out of your eyes.
When in life you find everyone against you,
Count me out, coz I’ll always support everything you do.

When in life you find everything going wrong
Trust in me to be with you in correcting things all along.
When in life, away from the world you want to run,
Please do take me along, we’ll sit together under the bright sun.

When in life, if ever you are in need,
I’ll be the first one to help, coz your friendship is my only greed.
When in life, years after I am dead,
Don’t come to my grave with flowers, but find me in you instead.

Why aren't we in the BIG league?

Management Education! the idea itself eventually generates million thoughts.with a noble intention to get translated into action. What is the expectation from this stream? What are the necessary ingredients of a successfull manager? Is there any formula through which ace strategists could be produced.? (Hello! What is strategy?)
By the way, can anyone please explain the definition of success?
Now, that we have a handfull questions on our platter, lets engage a dialogue and no idiologue for sure. What is required to improve the condition of management education in India?
As students, teachers, administrators or professionals, everyone has his/her own way interpreting the deliverables of management education.
If India is the place, where Gita was written, considered to be the bible of management science, then why aren't we are in the big league? Why crib with one IIMA, one XLRI blah blah blah!
Got an answer? Pl write back......
Till then.....waiting!

The Young Guns of India!

A new year & the first day,
Cold breeze and its uneasy to play
As always new resolution are on its way
This year my anger won’t be like a rock,
It will be as soft as clay.
This year I don’t want to buy new cloth, gadgets or perfume, as they live for a while,
Rather I would wish to buy love, Peace & Happiness,
They bring smile.
Gone is November rain,
I agree it has given us lots of pain,
I don’t blame them either they were totally insane,
But as this year has lots of expectation love is what we should make our aim.
Burning candles doesn’t mean anything,
Nor the anthem that we sing,
Rather we should enlighten candle in self,
Sing & be there for the one who need help.
It’s not a message but an alarm for the one who are still sleeping,
For the youth who have courage but inside keeping.

Welcome to GBS Blog: Sharing thoughts, adding value

Dear Students,
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that Galgotias Business School has started a blog VIVEGBS which will be a forum for sharing views, ideas and brainstorming.  I invite the student community to actively share their views and generate lively discussion on the blog.  I congratulate team GBS for this initiative which I am confident will stimulate discussions on a wide range on contemporary issues.
As a starting point I would invite thoughts on innovation practices in the corporate world.  I feel that companies are putting all their energies into hunting for ideas and not enough attention is paid to the execution side of innovation.  Innovation requires special kinds of teams and disciplined approach.  When faced with a choice between ongoing operations the objective of which is to make every process routine and predictable and innovation initiatives which are non-routine and ambiguous companies quiet often opt for the formal.
This results in the early death of innovative ideas.
I invite your comments.
Warm Regards

Social Networking…..Stay connected it pays you!

Marketing has gone leaps and bounds in the last few decades. Monologue and arm length interaction
with customers is a passé. The beauty and success of a marketing campaign lies in engaging customers.
Social network marketing services is aimed to help companies promote their brand and market their
products & services through online social networking media. The Social network marketing is a growing
trend and a powerful online medium which is effectively used as a tool to get connected with the
customers via community formation, blog and forum marketing, article writing and submissions etc.
Further, availability of bountiful of social networking sites such as orkut, facebook, linked in and twitter
etc. provides immense opportunity to the marketers to stay connected with its customers at a more
personal and informal front. The future and potential of social networking is still uncertain. This blog is
an attempt to explore the answers for following questions:
Do social networking sites continue to grow? Will social network marketing communication (Marcom)
substitute traditional marcom? Does social network provide a platform to engage customers or it
interferes with their privacy……….
